Sarah Macintosh is a primary school teacher who has taught New Entrant/Year 1 students for many years. She has had the privilege of working in Kohanga Reo, where the 3 and 4 year olds she guides have become the best teachers while learning Te Reo.
Sarah lives in Wellington with her husband and 3 children who are 25, 16 and 12. The family love to travel together and have had a lot of fun being restricted to exploring her beautiful country over the last couple of years. All 3 of her children are very connected to their Māori culture and it is such an important aspect of their lives. She has merged this with her passion for books and the importance of helping children learn about significant events that have shaped Aotearoa.

Со мной приключилась одна история, которая началась абсолютно не из-за меня. Виновницей всего вышла моя тетя, тетя Люда. Ей за шестьдесят, она обожает кроссворды, вязание и… как выяснилось, игровые автоматы. Но не те, что в залах, а те, что в телефоне. Она у меня продвинутая, вот честно. Сама WhatsApp освоила, в одноклассниках сидит, фотки внуков выкладывает.
Как-то раз звоню ей, спросить о самочувствии. А она мне таким взволнованным шепотом: «Ой, сынок, я тут в одну интересную игрушку играю, но у меня бонусы какие-то кончились. Ты же в этом шаришь, помоги тете разобраться». Ну, я, естественно, насторожился. Стал расспрашивать. Оказалось, ее подруга, Валентина Степановна, ей скинула ссылку на какой-то сайт и сказала, что там можно «покрутить барабаны весело». Тетя Люда, человек…
